Any person or organization who would like to organize a special event must make a request to the borough, neighbouring city or paramunicipal organization in charge of the area where the event is to take place.
In general, a request for a special event requires a processing time of three months or 90 days by the Direction de la culture et du patrimoine. This processing time may vary from one local organization to another, but because the authorization requires the input of local officials, this timeframe is a good general guideline.
Please contact the borough, neighbouring city or paramunicipal organization ahead of time to obtain your request number. Using this number, you will be able to submit your request to the SIM.
