The Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM) will take part in the 2016 edition of the Fêtons Ahuntsic-Cartierville event, which takes place at Marcelin-Wilson park on June 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-oriented gathering will feature a variety of activities geared to the general public.
This convivial and family-friendly event will give SIM teams and various partners the opportunity to meet citizens and address a variety of topics, including fire prevention. The SIM will present a number of activities for visitors. Citizens will be invited to visit information booths, take part in evacuation drills using the fire safety SIMulator, attend demonstrations, participate in a firefighter relay race, and learn more about firefighting vehicles.
Chief, the SIM mascot, will be on site to bring a smile to the faces of children and raise awareness about fire prevention. Experts in several fields will be available to answer questions from visitors on such topics as smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and evacuation plans. For complete details on the event, visit the Fêtons Ahuntsic-Cartierville Web page.
