The Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM) is proud to unveil its brand new “Fire Safety at Home” pamphlet.
This pamphlet, developed jointly with the Division de l’expertise et du développement de la prévention, provides life-saving safety tips.
Rewritten and simplified, offered in a bilingual format with easily identifiable icons, this pamphlet is handed out by prevention agents going door-to-door, but also by the smoke-detector brigade that covers city territory in summer.
This tool aims to raise awareness with respect to cooking appliances and smoker’s items (including cigarette butts in flower pots) that are the main causes of house fires in the urban agglomeration of Montréal. It will also serve as an effective reminder of the importance of installing and maintaining smoke detectors in your home.
