Every Saturday from May 31 to June 14 and from September 20 to October 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., several fire stations in the Greater Montreal area will be taking part in fire station open houses, offering Montrealers a host of activities designed to raise awareness of fire safety.

The Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM) opens its doors to the Montreal population. These days offer citizens the opportunity to discover the world of fire stations and learn more about the professions of firefighter and prevention officer. They are also an opportunity to receive various prevention tips, visit the trucks, enjoy the SIMulator and meet the mascot Chef, and much more! Fire fighters and prevention officers will be on hand to welcome the public and coordinate visits.

A unique, hands-on initiative, the fire station open houses are an excellent opportunity to talk with the public and answer questions from young and old alike.

In addition, this year's open house will focus on the safety of using rechargeable lithium-ion batteries in our everyday appliances, and on the need for a working smoke alarm.

To find out more about the fire stations that will be opening their doors, see the schedule below.

We hope to see you there!
