For the third straight year, the SIM is inviting Montrealers to take part in an open house day at 21 fire stations. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

For the second year, in April 2015, a group of 30 firefighters from the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal will be heading to Haiti.

The Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal is proud to announce the acquisition of two new ladder trucks, each equipped with a 137-foot (42 metres) ladder. The new trucks will be delivered in March.

The SIM employees responded to eight building fire calls between 10:30 p.m. on January 8 and 8 p.m. on January 9. It is quite unusual for so many fires to break out in such a short period of time.
