The risks of fire associated with cooking are present in day care centres. The more meals prepared for children, the greater the risk. Generally, when used in locations other than a dwelling or single-family house, cooking appliances must be protected by an extraction hood and fire protection system.
Available fire protection
A certified extraction hood and fire protection system will protect the appliance, the inside of the extraction hood and the duct that conducts grease vapours outside. In day care centres with a capacity greater than nine people, cooking appliances must be equipped with these devices.
