It's never too early to learn how to react to a fire in a safe way, create a relationship of trust with firefighters and adopt preventive behaviours. Learning materials specially designed for young children are used to meet these objectives during educational conferences in day care centres.

  • How to treat minor burns, if clothing catches fire or during an alert 
  • Evacuation: The plan, what to do if there is smoke or excessive heat, your meeting place and calling 9-1-1
  • A firefighter's equipment (uniform, breathing apparatus) and duties.
