Candles, oil lamps and other devices with an open flame
If food or beverages are served flaming, they must be ignited in the place where they will be served. A portable extinguisher with a minimum rating of 5-B:C must be on the cart or the table where the food will be lit. Candles, oil lamps and other devices with an open flame are only allowed in your establishment if they are surrounded by a protective element that keeps the flame from coming into contact with combustible materials such as clothing or decorative items.
Non-combustible holders
Glass domes, vases or any other non-combustible contained in which open flame devices are placed are considered to be elements that protect a flame if it should rise dramatically. As well, open flame devices must be placed in non-combustible holders that ensure their stability.
